CCMS Custom water transfer plate to replace part number 848834. For Mercury/Mariner 3.0 Sport Master lower units. Made of strong non-corrosive fiberglass to ensure protection against corrosion-related air leaks that can cause overheating. This plate seals the passage of cooling water from the water channel at the top front of the gear case back to the water pump base. Corrosion on or through this plate can introduce air to the water pump, causing overheating.
